A trade is a form of business in Slovakia, in which a natural person can carry out business activities on the basis of a trade license. The business is not a legal entity and the entrepreneur is responsible for his activity with his own financial resources .
The business is suitable for individuals who usually have one or two customers and have no expenses . In this way, they can claim flat-rate expenses through the business, thereby reducing the tax and levy burden and simplifying tax records.
The conditions of trade and the control over their compliance in the Slovak Republic are regulated by Act No. 455/1991 Coll. on trades (Trades Act) as amended (hereinafter referred to as the "Trades Act").
